How a Personal Makeup Coach turned decades of beauty expertise into intentional, confidence-driven design.  

 

Before I ever created a dress, I spent years helping women rediscover their confidence through beauty. As a Personal Makeup Coach for over 15 years—and having spent 25 years in the beauty industry—my work has always been centered around one mission: helping women look and feel confidently themselves.

Malik & Wolff was born from that same instinct. Beauty was my craft; fashion became my canvas. And women have always been my purpose.

 

Two Worlds, One Mission

My journey into design was never separate from my life in beauty. It was the most natural progression.

As a makeup coach, I learned to understand how colours balance each other, how tones work in harmony, and how a woman can stand out confidently without ever looking overdone. I learned how to read features, undertones, personalities, and moods — and how to express them through colour theory, styling, and subtle enhancements.

Those same instincts now shape every decision I make as a designer.

 

How Beauty Shapes My Designs

When I design a piece for Malik & Wolff, I’m not just thinking about the fabric. I’m imagining the woman who will wear it.

I think about her undertones.

I think about the makeup that will complete the look.

I think about which silhouettes create harmony.

And I think about how colours, prints, and textures will elevate her natural features — never overpower them.

This is the same skillset I used when teaching women how to discover their signature makeup look.

I equipped them with the right knowledge and tools to look their best anytime they wanted.

Now, I do the same through a fashion lens.

My makeup background and my design intuition work together naturally — every single time.
