The story behind the Singapore Botanica print that grew into a full lifestyle capsule

Some ideas are born in boardrooms. Others arrive through a quiet whisper. This one came to life on a quiet day at home, sketchbook open, heart wide, needing to breathe.

In 2024, amidst the pace of life and the beautiful chaos of motherhood and business, I sat down with a pen in hand—not to design a collection, not to create something commercial—but to de-stress. To draw. To let my mind wander and find stillness in lines, leaves, and layered petals.

I didn’t know then that I was drawing the beginning of something much bigger.

That first sketch became the seed of what is now the Singapore Botanica Summer Capsule 2025—a full collection that spans fashion, home décor, and everyday rituals. What began as a drawing is now a print that adorns kaftans, co-ord sets, flowy skirts, coffee mugs, table linens, and more. It lives in homes, wardrobes, and morning coffee routines. It holds meaning, not just beauty.

But beyond the products, this print became a symbol of something deeper:
A reflection of my roots and global journey.
A tribute to the lushness of Singapore, where this vision first bloomed.
A way to merge cultures—East and West, tradition and modernity.
A celebration of what it means to be both modest and bold.

You see, this isn’t just a print. It’s a portal.
From pen to fabric. From stress to story. From sketch to soul.
